*crosses fingers*
Just one more vote...
(unless the missing "yes" shows up or has already)

We'll get one more vote. One of my friends (who, if I know correctly, will vote "no")) is coming back tomorrow, and then you'll be at least tied.

Friday, January 23, 2004. Is this a conspiracy or something...semester ends, poll ends, God knows what else on my birthday (World, probably ;D ). Well I still think that there should be kind of a Laissez Faire on the vote thing. I believe that the people themselves choose what they want. If they don't want a mod - then there's not problem. If they do - well, good for the mod. The candidates themselves prove their worthy-ness, member or mod.

This isn't about me being mod. It's about Terrance becoming one. Fine, as this is a democratic board, lest we get more negative votes I resign. Let it be the way you all want it to be. I find this thread very ironic considering the original purpose of mod elections... Let's see, making rash assumtions, -1, pointing fingers, -1, making accusatioins withpout any evefdence to back it up, -3, I don' think mods who are qick to temper such as this fine example here should have a cemeted spot in the Modship. I'm not saying he got in unfairly, or anytning; he was voted in by us, fairly. This was never about me getting to be a mod again, EVER. (Reading this, Melissa? ) This is about gettting fairness for all. What about all the others whom are discouraged to run for modship becasuee opthers have complete and utter tryany and dictatorship over these very limited slots. This is about letting, and giving others that chance to shine, as anyone should have. If this movment is passed, it will give others a chance to prove themselves, out of fainress. If Alexei suppots fainress, as he has said he does, then he should have no probelm stepping down every once-and-a-while, to let others shine.

Nobody's prevented you from doing so... And perhaps your public image would be improved if you a) visited more, and b) didn't CHEAT on the first poll?

I voted no. if people cant become mod on their own, without the help of this rule, then i don't see why they should be mod at all. if the mod is good, then they should stay. Noo! Jeff, how could you? Too bad...now it's down to 10-8, 'cause we can't count that one.

If that's Jeff how come he has Ali's e-mail address? And if that's Ali, then how come his gender is female and he introduced himself as a girl named Elise?

If that's Jeff how come he has Ali's e-mail address? And if that's Ali, then how come his gender is female and he introduced himself as a girl named Elise? I asked Ali today - apparently Jeff might just know his e-mail password. And as for the female bit - it's Jeff, what do you expect?
