How far are you willing to extend your loyalty. For example if your friend was doing something that you disapproved of, what would your reaction be? What would you do if his still insisted on doing it even after you raised objections?
Of course, there are modifiers like if what he does is illegal or hurts others. That would make it trickier.
Another situation involves your country. Would you still support your country if it is doing something against your beliefs?

If my friend does something I definately dissaprove of, I wont help him, unless he really asks for my help. Like say he really needs me or else he cant do it. Then, assuming it doesnt hurt others ill help him out, after trying to talk him out of it.

That is similar to what I would do. I would have difficulty supporting something I don't agree with. I would be open to be convinced and I hope the friend is also open to being talked out of it. But otherwise, I wouldn't help them if they insist on doing and I do not agree in the end.

I pretty much agree with both of you on the first part.
For the second question, I think it is possible to support the country on one issue and not on another. If the country is doing more good than bad then I would support it overall, and vice versa.
