It's more of a spiritual statement. The views of science do not enter into the nature of time, which is a human concept relating to the perceived rate of change.

henry.. the only problem with the extra-universal dust triggering our universes expansion, is where did that other universe come from? Did it always exist? Actually, one of my favorite theories is the matrix theory.
That is, assuming that it is possible to simulate life, and assuming that a race intelligent enough to simulate life will be interested in attempting to simulate life, and assuming that in this whole universe, there are other intelligent life forms more advanced and capable of simulating life, then it is most likely that we are in a life simulation (a la matrix), or even more probable, in a life simulation which is being run by an intelligent race who in turn is running in a life simulation program.
