Well... its that time of year again... running for that exalted position which requires so much time, effort, repsonability and judicial fairness. Friends of the forum! we have had enough of tyrrany! During his most recent term as mod, Grave has abused his power as mod. Though occasionally in the right, he became overzealous and censored and deleted unnasecarily. Some times, his claims may have been just, but all in all, he is becomeing the kind of dictator this forum does not need! I say laisse-faire. Let the people of the forum do as they like, but with the least interference comes the best results. Though there are some grievous examples of breaches which must be taken care of, a moderator must know when to put his personal predjudices behind him, and must be willing to give people as many chances as they need. I say that the forum ought to foster a more free attitude, and that in inviting debate and discussion, it will be all the more fun. Remember, Vote Arachis for a more laid back forum environment. And Remember, Arachis's Running Mate, is the Invisible Mod, so do your part to elect into office two great candidates.

oh yeah... I forgot to mention. Im for converting to silver money as well. If we base our currency on gold and silver specie, this will give rise to much needed inflation which will help farmers by increasing their prices, lowering their debts and....
ok ok... the gold vs silver standard isnt an issue in this campaighn... but o well.

I'm tempted to close this due to FLAMING! Considdering that your claims have no merit, however, I think I'll leave it on here for others to see. If it wasn't for me there would be links to porn all over this forum (actually, the whole forum would probably have been deleted by C-lair). I was the only MOD this term who was on almost every day. I'd appreciate a little more considderation from you, considdering you've been voicing many of the complaints against a certain member (this is widely know as hipocrisy).
I've only deleted about 5 posts during this entire term, which were either so off topic they had no relevance to anything or contained offensive language or subject matter. If this is the thanks I get for taking care of the forum, then perhaps I shouldn't have volunteered in the first place.
In any case, you're treating this thing like some sort of groundbreaking political event. This is a friendly and uncompedative election. If you want to pretend you're a famous politician, go somewhere else.
In any case, I can't even run this time. So stop trying to make yourself look like some sort of defender of justice. You're not fighting against anything. I can still vote though, and by now I'm more likely to vote for Andrew.
Speaking of Andrew, his banning isn't even intended to be permanent. Should you get elected (which I pray you don't) check the MOD board. Considdering how many times he was warned, he should have been banned about a month ago. Instead I was nice, and figured that maybe he'd learn what was apropriate if he was warned instead. He improved quite remarkably because of this, and I figure that after he comes back, he will be quite a productive member (without the nasty side effects of a lobotomy).
Read my Sig.
Edit: Learn how to spell campaign
Edit Again: Maybe if you think I'm such a dictator, I should prove you right by banning you.

I don't know if I should really be speaking or not, but I have never had problems with Nick's moderating in the past. (yes, that includes before I was a mod)
This might be due to the fact that I'm fairly good at remaining within limits and I'm not a constant poster. I much prefer just "lurking" as the term is put.

Don't flame back, Nick; it devaluates your arguements. Ali is just speaking his mind. Also, learn how to spell "hypocrisy" and "consideration". ;D (my goal isn't to offend you but to demonstrate that utmost care must be taken to avoid "hipocricy" on your part.)

And I was speaking my mind. Normally I wouldn't have flamed back, but I'm tired of being accused of this, I'm just doing my part as a moderator. If your saying that you're going to be lax and not enforce the rules, then why should we even bother electing people? We could just elect two 'invisible mods' and not even bother with another person.
I don't really care about the spelling, it's just very annoying when you put a word in the title that you can't spell. I don't claim to be able to spell.

Technically, going off topic is not against any forum rules.

Going too far off topic I believe is considdered spaming. I have no problem with people going off topic if it follows a logical thought pattern, but some of the stuff I deleted had nothing whatsoever to do with the original topic nor the current one.

Nevertheless, you're interpreting the rules the way you see fit. Spam is aimless posting for malicious purposes, not off-topicness.
