YAY! HAppy Haiku! Post your own Haiku here! 5 7 5 yay!
Traditionally they insomeway indirectly involve the seasons and there are four, each for a season.
Soft and young blossoms Tender pink like the new dawn Unfold to greet life
Red and crackly flesh Well roasted in the high sun And soaked in chlorine
In the dark of night Gallops a shrouded figure Stirring withered leaves
Whirling round and round White snow waltzes to the ground Before landing still

lol actually no, my inspiration is not from KoL
(for the record lol is pronounced like loll, but most other acronyms are spelled out, like kol and omg, thus keeping sylables correct)
Wait, my tongue tells false my light, it verily is the happy dungeon

Ah-ha! I knew it. And therefore I may conclude That bored you must be
Before I depart I shall only say it once Get thee to bed now
If bored you may be Then sleep you most likely need So rest your head down

Thine wit is sharper than my own befuddled head my memory so fades
tis pity truly that i should rest, but the skunk does woe betide me
Alas, bored i would be, were it not for this fine discourse, so merry be
The calm and soothing of an emo wh.ore in sleep does not interest

I'd rather not sharp be, for points do hurt when poke'd Rather, they tickle.
The skunk may hinder But tis not the skunk in truth Tis fear of the stink.
I'm glad to bring smiles Yet I myself am sleepy So I must go *poof*
Sleep is my save point Thus, I sleep to remember The homework was what?
Alas, I must hope That nothing was forgotten 'fore I lay to rest.

I am passing sad, for I would respond in full, but should rather sleep...
And yet i stay on, unable to resist the charms of your sweet Haiku...
But it does not rhyme, and it lacks the grace and poise of verse or couplet;
So what is it then? That makes my heart beat faster, and my blood to rush?
There is something of magic and mystery in these lines of number.
Hippopotamus Antihippopotamus Annihilation -KoL, Jick
(On a side note, YEs! the google ads are for haiku's! Score!!!)

what is K-O-L? I know not what you refer when you speak of it.
Once there was a thread similar to this haiku thread a long while back.
That thread contained conversations written up as little haikus.

Kingdom of Loathing Is what you call K-O-L You can google it.
Alex, one side note, It was your fault I was late For haiku kept me.
And it was the skunk Not I, who you are blaming That kept you awake.
The record reflects That haiku may sometimes rhyme As this one I give:
"School is not for me Especialy when early be So there's sleep till three!" --Shannon's Away message this morning.
So take that! Haha! And a yardee har har har My haiku pwnz yours
(couldn't resist doing something silly like that....lo siento!)

why lo siento? so rarely do you deserve yet often repeat
I do remember that there were haikus abound but those have faded
So now we create, new and exciting haikus to tease and delay
Mod: my shower away message now
Water, flowing steam; runs down in little streams, off my sweaty bod'.

Tiny Asian poems Deserve more recognition; Ideas compressed
Poetic phrasings Cannot be forced to converse; Cease your blabberings!

my soul rejoices my heart beats frantically these haikus abound more little men, our game partake. Adding, complimenting to myriad haiku. Hamlet was a Dane but a Dane of such despair that he should be shot. ------------------------------------ With new grass blooming, my mind turns to the seasons; wildflowers dance and turn. The sun is rising, the thermometer boiling, the perspiration.... Light fades, winds rise up; the leaves do twirl and frolick leaving homes of old beating, beating loud. rain, rain, upon the window pane. take my pain away
