the fact that we are assigned on average, 20 pages of writing per class per week... in otherwords... 20 pages per day. Plus the teachers are much more strict and much harder.... However, although that may be the case, we arnt much further ahead in any particular subject.

Sorry, but I don't believe you.
1. If you write so much, how much do you read? 2. If you write so much, when do you prepare for tests? 3. Do you really write that much in subjects such as math and physics? 4. Do you get more than 24 hours/day in France? 5. From what I've heard, there is less homework assigned in French schools BUT the tests are extremely difficult and require intense preparation.
I especially don't believe you because I know that in most European schools, you don't have 7 periods per day. Your classes are broken up throughout the week, unlike ours.
