Yeah, you'd think so, wouldn't you...
No, there are 4 councellors, and each student is assigned to one. Our councellors have several other functions besides helping people with problems, such as helping everyone organize their schedules.

they have them at most schools in the U.S. for teens to get help from, sometimes a particularily troubled student will be assigned to see their councilor once a week, or once a month or such, just so that they can be helped. Its for the benefiet of the students to have them on hand.

I'm not sure my school even does that... Our counselors are our Vice Principles ;D Not quite sure they have time to handle a handful of student once a week or once a month or so.

they're supposed to, my councilor person I wouldn't go to for my problems, she's not the kind of person I'd open up to

I would probably open up to my counselor, he's a pretty practical guy... Of course, he would probably be wondering why the heck I'm in there, but still...
