Okay, so I figure at some point I'll start posting the better ones (once I've finished them) as well as the sketches I base them off of...but for this one, all you get is the white model. It's my first from my scene design class and I figure it's something new and different from me. It's for a show entitled "Private Lives" and the assignment was the "balcony scene". In ze background is a picture of the tip of ze eiffel tower for effect. I wanted the illusion of height. Enjoy! ~*~Me

OMG you're alive! Nice stuff, I remember having to do this for elementary stagecraft. I'm surprised they let you put in textures and stuff, we weren't allowed to draw on ours.

Yah...I'm alive. I had to some digging up to get the URL since all my bookmarks got wiped over the weekend. Anyway, technically there aren't any true textures on it yet. We basically are supposed to do SOMETHING on the floor to show there's a floor...be it a wood pattern or whatever. (That is, if there is something on the floor...if it's straight black, we just leave it) We're actually told to draw wallpaper or do black and white photocopiers...so we'll get docked if it was just flat. Probably the difference between architectural design and scene design. Just wait till I have to do color designs! Then we actually are supposed to use similar materials if possible or fake it so it looks like it. We'll be getting a class on doing that soon after my next white model gets turned in. Luckily, my design for that is mostly black and white and shades of gray. Makes life simple on a color model. I can re-use lots of pieces! (the black and white ones...if they're actually black or white...) ~*~Me
