Why do you assume that lisa listens to azn music?

When we say azn, I assume we mean music that has the occasional English word thrown in just for kicks. Because so many popular artists do that now. And even if no one but me and Asian Alex did, at least now we don't have to take up gush-space on other threads. Be happy. You've contained the nipponophiles.

I can't believe I forgot YUI! How Crazy - YUI | MV: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDBUotGFyp0(Also not the actual MV) Yeah a few English words in the song is ok. I mainly made this thread just if anyone was interested. Even if you don't normally listen to Asian music, some of the songs I think some of you peoples might like.

Why do you assume that lisa listens to azn music? Because she said so in another thread...and we're racist bastards. I listen to the occasional song, but as a whole I'm not a big fan. Pretty much my only connection is through anime, and I don't even watch much of that (I just read the manga).

I'll add some of my "azn" tastes to this thread. However, my experience with Japanese music is limitted to anime, mostly, and the bands that performed at an anime convention last weekend. By the way, I can't post links to the band to their websites on myspace, or videos of them on youtube, since I am on a public high school computer, therefore those two sites aren't allowed.
Mechanical Panda-petite Japanese women rock harder than you'd expect. Nice slap bass, but I'm not sure I like the lead singer's voice. I heard them in concert only, so I don't know how their recordings are.
ZZ- Jrock band that was, well, eclectic. I never thought I'd hear a reggae style song in japanese that would then transition to alternative rock. But these guys are good. Give 'em a try.
God of Shamisen- Technically, these guys aren't "azn" in anyway, however, their lead instrument is a fretless three-string Japanese lute called a shamisen. They're a progressive rock band, with flavorings of metal, punk rock, reggae, traditional japanese shamisen music, funk, anime theme songs, video game theme songs, psychaedellica (sp?) and basically anything else that can or has rocked. If you jammed all of these styles in a blender, mixed it up and poured it out, you'd get half the awesome-ness of what they're like in concert. Any band where their bass player dresses up like a pot-bellied tiger for half the concert gets points. Heck, any band that can play Sailor Moon, For Whom the Bell tolls by Metallica and blue grass all in the same set and keep a straight face, while titling the song 'Burrito Dog Attack' gets points.
I'll shut up now.

I'll shut up now. You were at Fanime? The day I was there they had some kind of weird talk show type thing on stage, and then a translated discussion with ... some guys. The music selection in the stalls was rather disappointing.
