rules: don't give away too much information, this is supposed to be a role playing game sort of thing, we don't need it all spelled out, there is mystery la to keep it somewhat organized, at the end of the post, put who you would like to have post next, if you think it is necessary, if you are ending a scene, you don't have to i just want some cohesiveness, because i didn't like the backtracking, and post modifying because two peopel went at the same time without realizing that one of them was quote "wrong" you can "summon" people this way so if you want to communicate with someone, they know it or you could pm them It was a dark and stormy night in Cataronia-T27, aka Laria’s Countryside Taverna. Those in the penthouses of the 26-acre holiday resort may have been getting a superb light show, but the storm outside was nothing compared to the storm raging within. Beta Amelia Ralvoria had come to Cataronia for a relaxing holiday with her only daughter, and yet, here she was, quarrelling (she refused to admit she might be inciting a brawl, even to herself) with some local drunk, who didn’t seem to be all that drunk to gauge from the angry sparkle in its eyes. She, a Beta speaker for the High Council of the Mensha Sector, was using the most base of Basic, to try and convert some holidaying Citizens to her causes. If she slurred her words, and drew upon some rather low blows, even by the standards of the commoners, it was because she was so frustrated with their narrow-minded stubbornness, not because of the numerous goblets of “The Blood of Bacchus” she had had that night of course. The stupid backwater imbeciles did not understand what they had to gain by the removal of the vast forests of Shangarah. The profits to be made from all that acreage as farmland would be immense, especially if they could but import and modify exotic foods to propagate in the climate of those regions reducing the need for imports, and increasing the profits for those farmers, and the possiblity of setting up housing and cities in those areas would be even better for the economy of the Mensha Sector.. Later that night, after she had given up on the tavern, she returned to her room, and found her daughter was still at a party beign held at one of the neighboring resorts. She turned, there was someone at her balcony, 14 stories above skimmer level, and yet the only way they could be there was by scaling the smooth serpentine walls, unless they had a skimmer illegally hovering around. she reached for a com link, but there was none in the room save for the one near the balcony. The door slid open, Constance had forgotten to lock the door, not like there would have been need before now. - - Constance opened the door to the room, hoping her mother would not notice her late arrival… <<here i'm thinking that it's either the continuation of what constance is going through this night haniel Burkund is in the room, looking over the scene and deciding what to do next or mr zeil is looking over the case, and some how, some way, turns it over to mr burkund for his own reasons>>

Constance had stayed at the party much later than she had planned. Hopefully her mother wouldn't realize how late it was, or even notice her return.
As she fumbled through the entry-way to their main room (diplomats always got such nice suites), Constance ran over all the possible excuses in my head....
-I'm sorry Mother, but I lost track of time because I had too much to...- No, THAT wouldn't work. Her mother let her drink occasionally, but never without her direct supervision.
The truth of the matter was, she had been so relieved to be able to socialize with others without the stress knocking her back into the strange nervous paranoia she had been slipping into as of late. Perhaps this vacation really would help her relax and get herself back together... It was sometimes frightening the things her mind did to her.
Constance opened the door to her mothers room stealthily. Light was out.
-Good, she's probably asleep...-
She shivered, and realized the balcony door was slid open slightly. Suddenly the curtain rippled in a breeze, causing an irrepressible wave of terror to pass through her. Breathing quickly she closed her eyes and thought:
-Careful, don't let your silly fears get the best of you.-
She took a deep breath to calm herself down, and started to turn, when she felt her foot run into something on the floor...
~~~~~~~~~~
The peircing cry must have woken up everyone in the entire hotel. A certain Mr. Gluttonne decided to complain to mangement the next morning.
~~~~~~~~~~
When the first person walked in, they would find the poor girl shivering and whimpering, huddled into the corner. She stared with wide unblinking eyes at the bloody corpse of her mother, muttering incoherently and twisting her hands about in a most desperate way.
"My mother won't wake up. She has had to much to drink. Silly mother. She'll have such a headache when she wakes up. It's not really my mother. My mother always makes it to her bed, no matter how smashed she is. WHy won't she wake up? It's not her.... It's not her..."
And the lightening outside reflected in those wild, dark eyes.
~~~~~~~~~
I dunno who the first person on the scene besides me is so... i guess someone should either decide that or just bite the bullet, as they say
(sorry this is just a tad bit late)
Though the story he told anyone who wanted to know was that he was simply taking a hard earned vacation, Haniel was still officially at work. Not that he didn't deserve a vacation and hadn't done his fair share of relaxing, but he had gotten stuck with a rather menial case of investigating whether or not some rich husband was cheating of his wife.
Hea had set up cameras in the guy's room, and was coming back to his own to watch after his subject had gotten unusually friendly with one of the girls at the bar. He wouldn't make it to his room though...
His stroll was interupted by a piercing shreak. His hesitated for a bit, wondeering if at was a good idea to get embroiled into an affair that could produce such an unpleasant sound, but after thinking about it, it might just bring up his reputation enough to warrant some more serious cases.
The room was near and he easily found it: he hadn't made it far from the rich man's room, which was similarly luxurious to the one he now entered. He doubted that his culprit's room featured such a gastly scene, however. Upon turning on the lights, he was greeted by a rather hysterical girl and who was most likely her mother, judging by the resemblance. He doubted she had done it, most sane people would have left the scene by now. Her mother was lying on the floor with a butter knife plunged deep into her chest, her eyes slightly rolled back and stairing almost straight at him. He'd seen worse, but it was just enough to make him shiver.
He went over to comford the girl, "It's all right, I'm a detective. Let's get you somewhere away from this aweful scene." Haniel lead her into an adjoining room, "Now, wait right here, I'm going to call the authorities. We'll find whoever's responsible for this."
He went back into the other room and phoned the police. _______________________________________
<<Mr. Ziel should probably post next as he would logically now arrive on the scene. Constance could also post if she felt the need to add in any responses to my actions.>>
"Oh, ok then I'll wait for Mrs. and Mr. Kristofer," replies Peter, turning around and taking half a step back before the rest of the information processes. Realizing what the maid just said, he turns back, somehow managing to pivot on the foot that is on the ground with his other still in the air, "Wait a tick..." He quickly runs to room number 519 and knocks on the door. His voice has an odd, almost frantic tone as he shouts through the door, "Hello! Could someone open the door please?"
His face pales slightly behind his five o'clock shadow, and he stammers out, seeing the corpse and bloodied carpet, "It's true then... dead." He continues talking, now addressing the police officer,"I guess I'll be off then, please give tell, Constance I think it was, that Peter sends his regards. I knew her mother, and she might have talked about me." As if in a daze, he turns around and starts to walk back down to where he was waiting for Mrs. and Mr. Kristofer.
*Listens in polite confusion, then replies*
Last night, I spent some hours in the bar, before heading back to my room. I do remember noticing that my bracelet was missing as I left the bar. I would have searched for it, but I was tired and felt ill so I decided to go back for it in the morning.
*Smiles brightly* If you are here to return it to my person, I am very grateful.
An incident? Has something happened?
So far, it seems that you are the most likely suspect, Ms. Conti, unless you could give us a better story? Perhaps you noticed someone suspicious at the bar?
*Takes one look at the floor and utters a slight shriek, stares at the bloody scene, her hand over her mouth and her expression a mixture of horror and nausea*
*Quickly looks away, trying to pull herself together before answering*
B-before I left, I noticed that Miss Ralvoria was in a heated discussion with someone at the bar. As far as I could see, no blows were exchanged but they were both clearly enraged. At the time, I was minding my own business, drinking the usual... until it finally became too much to bear and I left. I'd a headache and all, and the yelling really wasn't helping. I trudged back up to my room, and had not left it, until you all woke me up.
