I'm thinking of ways to revamping the color scheme. I know I've talked about it before and all. Anyways I'm thinking something nice and simple. Kind of like it is now but with less yellows and more dark and light greys. In my head I have I'm picturing using colors like one would see in a prettily contrasted black and white photo. Anyways, discuss.

Monochromeworks too. JP is the real person to ask, my art skills are rather useless when it comes to web design.

I'm actually really fond of our colours, but if/whenyou redesign, just make sure you keep this format so if the new one don't work out...

just make sure whatever color the text is (preferably white or black) contrasts a lot with everything else, and it should work ok as long as the other colors aren't horrible

I do like this layout; it's classic. Although mustard isn't exactly my favorite mineral, this hue is high contrast without being blinding, and of course the grey scale makes it simple without being monotone. If you could manage to keep words legible and retinas intact by changing colors, by all means. I know I am not that talentful.

Im all for a redesign. Theres no harm in trying a new layout, and if we dont like it, reverting back to the old one.

each person can choose which color scheme they want to use while viewing the site, so, liking the current one isn't really a reason not to try a new one

Word. I'm rather fond of Nick's creation, aptly named "acid"...

I have only one request: Please make the arrows to change pages more noticeable. I only discovered them recently and only then by accident.

When a thread has multiple pages there are arrows next to the pull down list of pages and the top left and bottom left that allow you to move forward and backward in pages. You probably havn't notived them either, I only found them a few years ago.

The problem is that links are the same shade of yellow as the header and footer blocks. So the little arrows are ninja camoflauged. It's not that difficult to find them is it? But, as an oddity, I suppose the masses must be considered. I suggest giving them an image if that's an availible option. I kind of like there being only one hue amongst all the grey.

We have arrows! My whole perspective on (forum) life has been changed.
