...there are certain content restrictions established by the owners of the server... Effectively, we all signed somewhat of a contract saying to follow this when we registered. I think all of the posts with swearing in 'em are kind of breaking the contract. I'm just wondering if what happened to the censor, or if nothing has happened, why are we breaking the contract?

swearing does not necessarily equate to vulgar. I also think that the purpose of that contract was more as a sort of cover-all. Compared to other forums, this one is pretty tame actually, and as long as nobody has a problem with our behaviour, no laws are broken.

What pretty much happened is people started complaining when Mods like me actually did something about this, and there was pretty much a silent vote to abolish it since nobody on this server cares. I could reinstate the rule, but it would really just piss people off and not make much difference since proboards doesn't seem to check. I was reffering more to stuff like porn and discussion of filesharing which people may find offensive or is downright illegal.
As far as the actual word censor goes, I think Alex was the one to change it.
Edit: Ali got that off while I was still writing, but I think he makes a better point than mine.
