Amazing. I loved them so much I moved onto the not-quite-as-good watercooler.com movies.

"Pancakes!"
I've seen Arnie act worse than Kindergarten Cop.

Does he ever act well? I liked "End of Days" but I still wouldn't call any of his acting in it "quality".

He did a decent job in the 6th Day, Jingle All the Way wasn't nbad, the Last Action Hero was definitely cool, mainly because he was playing a parody of hismelf, he was horrible in Red Heat, and, of course, I don't need to say how he did in the Terminator movies because I'm guessing everyone has seen those.

I've seen none of those besides the Terminator Movies. He does a great job of being hyper-macho in otherwise awesome action movies, and it works, but I still say he can't act. Maybe it's cuz of his challenges learning english, but then he also doesn't have any background in acting.

Hey, acting isn't exactly mandatory for actors. Look at John Wayne. He acted like... well, John Wayne. One personality, one deep voice, lots of different names. Heck, he was the Singing Cowboy and couldn't exactly sing. Then there are the legion of pretty faces, big busts and tiny waists that have been employed on the silver screen without having any talent or skill. At least Arnie is funny.

Just because there is more than one person labeled a "Great Actor" without being able to act, doesn't by default make them any good at acting. As you point out, and this is most poignently true in Movies/Tv, Directors, when faced with a choice, often choose to have actors who carry certain inherent traits, such as arnie's uber-machoness, or Paris Hilton's low-brow sex-appeal. Great actors - true thespians - can only overcome so much physical limitation. It's not that they couldn't play the roles, and make a great movie, but that they would transgress the directors vision, which although artistic, usually has it's priorities with "crowd-pleasing" at the top.

If we're going for true thespians, then Arnie isn't one. I'll agree with that. It still leaves the question of why people like Humphrey Bogart, who lacks sex appeal and thespian talent (this man had one personality. And this one personality had one emotion, which looked alot like boredom), made tons of movies and had a following
Turkish Star Wars?! With Indiana Jones music and kung fu? Um... That has got to be the worst movie I've seen, and I sat through the '90s Double Dragon movie.
