iI is hilarious that site. The guy contradicts himself several times, and misrepresents what he attacks in order to get his point across.
The Evolution track isn't attacking any form of evolution promoted by scientists at all. If I remember, he also can't make up his mind about Jews. He attacks them at one point for not being Christians and glorifies them in another. = /

I didn't really read too much of it, but that was mostly because I couldn't stomach it. Disregarding any opinion I have of religion, that site seems to attempt to oversimplify something that can only be properly comunicated in its original complex form. I suppose something on the site might spark someone's interest, but standing alone it just makes it seem like a really dumbed down version of the religious teachings designed for small children or the mentally challenged. Especially after reading some very sacriligious yet deep, thought out, and powerful Japanese comics such as Berserk or the Korean comic Priest, the content of that website seems like it was written by small children.

In another area, he says that Islam was created by the Roman Catholic church as a plot to control Jerusalem and to destroy true "bible-believing" christians.

lol.... thats awesome... But thats what makes the propoganda so successful, its simple and clean, and because it doesnt get bogged down in details, it can use the few details it chooses to portray, to illustrate an opinion that is completely skewed. Its like pointing to one face of a mountain, and saying "see there arent any trees on this face, the other 6 faces are like that too. Its a barren mountain" when in fact the 3 that get the rain have trees, then pointing to another mountain face with trees and saying "that mountain however has plenty of trees" when only 2 of its 6 sides have trees.
But nick, I wouldnt necessarily go so far as to say that bezerk is a deep pensive piece of graphic literature that challenges ones preconceptions about the world. I mean, Im not saying its a bad manga, but its not exactly well known for its take on moral philosophy or anything. I dont know much about the korean comic priest, but simply because my only exposure to korean media (old boy) suggests that much of it is deep, I might concede that priest raises some interesting moral questions.

Also since the topic deals with the eventual passage to heaven (or hell) people are more likely to be scared into believing it on a reaction. A political cartoon might have less impact since it doesn't deal with eternal suffering or pleasure.

Im not so sure...... I mean, some of them are political too. I think if I remember, one shows kerry as the devil. But its true that the eternal life does make it a little more effective.

I agree with you as far as propoganda for the unwashed masses of the bible belt. But as we prove, highly educated deep thinking people can only find this crap funny

its not just that we are highly educated, but also that we have experienced some of these things, and therefore know some of what they claim to be outright lies or exaggerations.
