WARNING!!!! Do not read if you dont want to think or if your scared easily by the wierd and/or the unknown!
What is reality? This is the question i was thinking about today during tutorial. What is reality? What are feelings? Well for starters, feelings are signals sent by the brain. These signals are electrical-ish (if i remember science correctly). And what is electricty? Its made up of atoms, just like everything else. And the center of an atom is a nucleus. The nucleus is shaped like a ball. Then what is inside the nucleus? Nothing...or possibly a whole nother reality? So lets see...the center of everything is nothing? Ok. So that might not make sence. Now here's something else then. Why is everything in this reality pre-set. For example, the strong force (the force that holds and atom together) is pre-set to a certain "setting". If this setting was smaller, then every atom would appear and fall apart right away. You get the idea. So now the question is, who pre-set this stuff. Could our reality be created by another reality? Or could reality not really exist and just be a figment of our imagination. Well I guess it's up to you to decide. Ask any questions you would like and leave any comments.
And no i didn't just steal this from some website.

If reality were a figment of our imagination, then it still "exists" to us. Reality is merely what we can detect with our senses and interact with.

If it's a figment of our imagination, then we can, thoretically, just make it go away. We can not iteract with an imagination.

Yes, if it was imagination, then we might be able to get rid of it like how Neo took the red pill to get out of the matrix. But how can we tell the difference between imagination and reality, if imagination includes everything that you can possibly detect?
And why can't we interact with an imagination?

We cant interact with imagination because it only says or does what we want it to.

My trench is the wash today, and my arsenal is... sleeping.
Well, I guess I'll attempt to be serious for a moment.
We can't interact with imagination because we do not believe we can. Until we can convince ourselves wholly that we can, we are unable to. Then there is the fact that people are very capable deceiving themselves to the point of where it nearly becomes truth for them. Even though truth isn't something that should change from person to person, it nearly becomes such. In today's world, that has become common so many people have told themselves that very thing.

We cant interact with our imagination because our subconcious is barely affected by our conscious. If we could control our subconscious, it would no longer be subconscious.
Furthermore, reality is not dictated by our imagination. This is what defines and seperates reality from imagination. In fact they are the opposite. Though it is true, that our imagination, in controlling us, can influence our perception of reality, and can even change reality without our knowing it (ie sleepwalking) it is still not reality, and shouldnt be confused. Reality is everything that can affect us outside our imagination. No matter how crazy we are, if our arm is cut off, it will still be cut off, even if we imagine differently. Even if someone mentally unstable, lives in his own world where he imagines everything, much like the matrix, if our arm is cut off it is gone, even if we dont realize it.
Now you seem to say that reality is controlled by many forces, yet in truth it is controlled by only one. There is only one force which governs the universe, however its applications and effects create the Gravitational force, atomic force etc. Look up Universal field theory for more on this topic.
So you say that if the strong force were weaker atoms would fall apart? Right... however you also need to realize that if the strong force had been weaker, atoms wouldnt have come together, and we would be based upon some other particle, say a square made up of Whigs and Nutella... the point being that the only question here is what made the force.
The Universal Field force is the one force that governs reality, and it is the framework for every defenition I have given. As a result, if one can explain the reason the Universal Field Force exists... one can explain the reason that everything exists.

Think about this: when you save one person, it is like saving the world.
This helps me put things in perspective...
