Wait... wait! I feel my apathy breaking apart, and a long and tedious improvised speech coming on...AHHHH.... Ahhhhh.... CHOOO!!! No,I guess it was just a sneeze...
On a more serious note. I will come forth with my own campaighn that is not steeped in laziness and carelessness... I would like to begin by addressing the fact that, as every other candidate, I can assure you that I will be a fair mod, and will attempt to use my powers in benevolant manners. This includes MODifying excessively rude (more importantly swearing) posts, making sure that threads are put on the right board, and those other modly duties that we all must partake in. This is a daily task and (like every other candidate) I have shown from past experience that I check the forum at least once every day (more often twice, or thrice) and I read every thread, excepting an occasional heavy metal thread on the music board. But these are only the skills that qualify me to apply for modship, as every mod should be able to do these relatively simple tasks.
What makes me an exception to the others is that I plan to do much much more. First of all, I plan to talk to pavel about restructuring the Mod-terms, since I believe that with the leaving of senior forum members, and the gradual disinteredness of some others, the forum has lost many of its potential candidates... Not to mention that it has become in a sense lonely.... In another attempt to fix the problem I will attempt to get Jeff Hayman back on the forum (no easy task) and make him a regular forum goer again.
But more importantly and more feasable are my commitments to the forum and its general applications. I will promise to daily update both the calender and the News fader not nessecarily because it is important, but because it is one of the many things that has bugged me in the past. I will also update my icon signature etc. more often, and record each change in the icon thread for posterity...
Yet still, after this long and ardous speech, that has hopefully convinced many to vote for me, I am reduced to my old habits. In this last paragraph I will again bring to attention not necessarily that there is a lack of good mods running... well actually that is what I was about to bring up. As of this moment their are two other candidates, one of whom is nick and he thinks that this would be his third term in a row anyway... so I find that I dont really need to urge you on to vote for me (although I already have done so) since as of now you have no choice. Although I also realize that this will probably change, which is why this month I have decided not to rely solely on this argument, but to attempt to convince people as back up with this long campaighn speech.
Remember: A VOTE FOR ARACHIS,IS A VOTE FOR.... uhh... IS A VOTE FOR AENARION! yeah thats it...

hey... does anyone read these essays? its not like I write them for my own pleasure... I write them to torture others... but if nobody reads them... well then I fail to torture anybody... a tragic conclusion, so i encourage everybody to read the big long essays I write so that this place can be a better world for you and me... but mostly me...
O wait this is the campaighn board... Scrap what I just said....
I meant to say that I would enjoy it if every forum member here had fun... and voted for the best candidate. I can understand that my essay is boring, so I reccomend that nobody reads it... otherwise they'll be bored.. and I wouldnt want anybody else to come to harm.

If it's longer than two paragraphs, and if it's something I'm not interested in, then no. Especially not if it's filled with spelling errors. In other words, I don't read Andrew's graphics card stuff.

yes... but sometimes blunt ends can be far more useful... Try hammering in a nail with a screwdriver and youll see what I mean.

I have done that. Luckily, the back of the screwdriver was flat and wide enough to give a good enough chance to hit the nail. It did a pretty bang up job
