Rough draft.
MINUET
Along the noir of deathly night Was visible a lonely sight An object turbulent in flight Among the specks of light.
Its gaze was heard by most abroad As one which none dare to applaud But rather stand aloof and nod To such a grave charade.
It sought but one - a speck of hope Among the few, who dared to cope With the malaised, diminished slope Beneath the hangman's rope.
And yet - when found it what was there It merely hovered in despair Until reverbed through mellow air In hope a ghastly tear.
The impact only sheared apart... But there is always a new start So it flew up, as to depart With sadness in its heart.
Along the noir of deathly night Was no more visible that flight And only the remaining white Appeared in specks of light.

These were found in piles of old papers, so they're not too great, but still...
THE NEW GENERATION
Are we in the precense of something much higher Or are we mere insects in their line of fire And shall we succumb to their bullets before we are dead?
For most they are visions, reflections that wander That their narrow minds don't consider to ponder And we fall behind, though we know we are going ahead.
A DISTANT MEMORY
The wind will still blow And the rivers will flow Through the planes and the valleys and hills. The flowers will dance Driving into a trance The trees that around them grow.
The swings will still fly Like the birds in the sky Who never once thrived to be free. The kids will still play As the sunlight turns gray And the clouds, looking dry, start to cry.
The trains will still ride... In the meantime, the tide Will continue to rise at the see. The young will still play As they scurry away To try from their mothers to hide.
DISSONANT VOICES
Have you seen the light at the end of the tunnel Or was it an oncoming train? Have you been enlightened by echoes of laughter Or have you tried laughing in vain? Have you ever felt the cold glance of the moonlight As you went to walk down the hall? Have you ever felt the corrosion of time As you glanced at the clock on your wall?
UNTITLED
The dying notes of the nocturnal ballad Send electric shivers down my spine As they search for the divine But find only darkened hearts.
Alas, it is over, and all are in awe The sounds familiar are no longer there The nullified blackness leaves all in despair A drama of life in 3 parts.

DREAM
I had a dream when leaves were falling Across the snowy, withered land That the destruction of a thousand Could be defined by wave of hand.
I had a dream that lands were governed By secrets presently untold And madmen, screaming love unspoken Went out to die, intentions bold.
I dreamt that guilt of wars decaying Took but another one to shake... But from this dream of human madness I find that I have yet to wake.
