~Poem 1~
Here am I Broken-- Battered -- Beaten. Locked up yearning-- claws RIPPED out! Chained to this wall. yet I, still stay.
I WON'T leave the TORTURE is to grand. you Use me -- Abuse me.
And still I am here chained and loving it. still I FEAR.
Warp my mind-- MORE than you have. continue this TORTURE. For I cannot escape.
The key is in the LOCK Now I leave you. Stranded in your OBSESSION. Stay in your NIGHTMARE.
~Poem 2~ Curled up, lieing in the sun, tail moves idly, daydreaming the day away.
A hand begins to pet my fur, my stomach. I purr. enjoying it all.
He picks me up, bringing me, into the bedroom. He sets me, on the bed, closing the door with his mind.
He strokes again, starting all the waves of passion, bringing exhaustion in the end.
~Poem 3~ random espressions, laughter in the sun, ocean's delight, cats purring, cowboy hats, rootbeer from the tap. these are things, that may be clean, under the water, from a horse. games and stories. dogs barking, hey y'alls and everything. laughter and smiles. not ryhmes and meters is what makes life BEAT.
(( enjoy and debate! ^_~ -Cat ))

So ummm... What are we to debate about these?
Wow, I'm actually trying to make something stay "on-topic"...

Right... well, here you go; ~Poem 3~ random espressions, (Clearly referring to this thread) laughter in the sun, (ha ha ha) ocean's delight, cats purring, (I like cats too) cowboy hats, rootbeer from the tap. (This poem is... simply crap) these are things, that may be clean, (I didn't want to be mean... ) under the water, from a horse. games and stories. dogs barking, hey y'alls and everything. laughter and smiles. not ryhmes and meters is what makes life BEAT. Ok, my interpretation of this poem; The randomness of your word choice is supposed to symbolize the randomness of this thread, right? See what I mean? This is the kind of stuff you get when you don't use rhyme or meter - utter randomness!! This should be moved to the "I wrote a poem" thread, as an example of what I described. My apologies to the shy cat, but you frankly asked your poem to be interpreted. Don't let my comments disappoint or discourage you, though. Sorry again

*looks amusedly at Magistar* None of my poems used Meter or rhyme. the last one was utterly random, and i brought it into a poem not a list in the end. Hey i took a "page" out of Walt Witman's Book.

No wonder. I never really liked Walt Whitman.
Well, at least I don't feel bad criticizing it then, since it's not yours.

I will have to agree with Magister there... interesting poems... they might be accepted in todays society but then again so is modern art.... But hey.... at least its better than some other stuff ive seen.... (not to mention those "gothic" poems....)

depressing poetry does have its use, as does other poetry, for me anyways. I write poems to express myself, and after I express, oftentimes, I find that the edge to the emotion is gone, or if its a happy poem, that I'm a little more calm and levelheaded, And yeah, alot of weird things are accepted in these times, but thats the way the world works
