Looks very peaceful. I like the sun swirl in the head.
Is the green smoke coming from the person's mouth or is that the background?

I believe that thats the whole point of the picture. That the background is also part of the person or that the person is part of the background (depening on which way you look at it).
The sun is both part of the background, and the persons mind, the smoke is both clouds and the persons breath, and cheek.

Impressive, I never thought you would be one to explain my art to the world...

Yeah...that's a pretty good analysis of it I'd say...
Looks nice Geneva! I notice that the chin/jaw structure there seems to be characteristic of your artwork...

I likey. you did very well with those colors. I don't think I could get it to work. good composition too, the sun (glowy dot?) really draws the attention to the face. It doesn't look very complex at first, but the more you look at it the more you notice.
Edit: You're back 0_0

now, as always geneva, I need to criticize. I just cant help it, its in my blood. The painting is very good, but... there is one, and only one problem. The neck is too long. Otherwise, perfect.

I think the ear's fine, but the figure's light blue seems to have no legitimate place above the earth's dark brown.

I think the ear is a bit to low as well... The top of the ear should be aproximately at eye level, and seeing as the head in this picture is actually tilted back slightly, it's just fine. The length of the neck really isn't that important, in this case it's more of a stylization prefference. There's nothing really wrong with the figure that isn't a stylistic choice. For instance, the forehead juts out quite far, but this is not so much an error as much as it's a concious choice to go with a stylized form.

I'm going to college in seattle. Wow, you guys sure are being harsh. not that i would have it any other way. However, I do want to point out that this was a ten minute sketch entirely in photoshop so i din't really have a chance to work out proportions for a realistic figure.
