But what if you were in charge of creating the dictionary? What definition would you put.

Dictionaries are good, although they do make mistakes sometimes.

"It's pretty"
In other words, its ability to evoke a particular emotional response makes it effective.

In that case, every sort of action invokes an emotional response.
Example: Peeing invokes relief. Thus Peeing is an art.

They do make mistakes. Take a look here: www.snopes.com/language/mistakes/dord.htmRegarding art, an art is a type of skill which requires much practice and experience to perform well. Although there may be exceptions...

"Regarding art, an art is a type of skill which requires much practice and experience to perform well."
Nay!
"Peeing invokes relief. Thus Peeing is an art."
Only if you watching me pee invokes relief. Art has to elicit an emotional response in an observer other than the artist.

Watching you pee probably provokes disgust. Then is it an art?

If disgust is an emotion. I would argue against that, however. Disgust, relief brought on by urination, pain, pleasure - these aren't emotions, they are sensations.
