Well, the art as in the Art Board here is basically pictures/drawings, art in general is poetry, music and all that other stuff. That's how I see it.

an expression of feelings or an attempt to show something Bach's preludes and fugues certainly aren't written for an expression of feelings. But nonetheless, they are art.

I disagree. Art is, in my opinion, any expression of emotion (usually not through facial expression or words). Bach's music expresses emotion, whether they were written with a particular emotion in mind or not.

What about Common Archetecture. That is an art, and that's to give people living/working space. Not necessarily to show emotion.
