I've just been introduced to an opera by the name of Le Villi, by Giacomo Pucinni, And i really like it. I'm constantly surrounded by opera, and at this point i'm fairly sick of it, but htis is really really good. I think its used alot in movies and other soundtracks, so some of the numbers are leasantly recognizable. the plot is interesting too. Apparently the man of some betrothed couple has to for some reason venture into the city, but the promises his fiance that he will return so that they may be wedded. he leaves the village they lived in, and while he's gone, a cabal of witches pull a sleeping beauty on the village, except instead of sleeping, all the villagers die. the man for some reason doesn't return until 30 years later, and is wanering through the twon lamenting when he runs into his fiance, now as some sort of zombie, singing baout how he siad he'd return, and how she waited for him. ht eguy is creeped out and then there is some sort of conclusion. anywho it sounds really pretty and i liked it. so ni!

Don't know that particular opera, but anything Puccini writes is usually amazing. <3
