This is a very well put together instrumental arrangement of one of Castlevania's many songs. The artist managed to (in my opinion) seamlessly blend together two seemingly incompatible genres (Spanish and metal), and the sound is a far cry from the electronic synth of most video game music mixes. Download it even if you don't care about the game. It's great. www.vgmix.com/song_view.php?song_id=2693And check out vgmix.com while you're at it - it's a nifty site.

yeah, that was kinda cool. I wouldn't say seamless, though. The flamenco almost comes off as frivolous intro when you consider the overwhelming length of the shreddery.

That's true, but it does come back later.

yeah. i think the blending would have been more effective had there been more trading between the two.
well done, overall.

Oh, and in case anyone's interested, here's the original: (well, not quite; sounds more like a MIDI rendition, but close enough) k6a.dip.jp/oto/H-CLOCKWORK.MP3

That was pretty good. I found a great place to get pretty much every castlevania track released (sorta legally). It's even has it redone as classical and rock (though the classical is sorta wierd). www.classicgaming.com/castlevania/media.htm

Yeah, I'm sorta wondering about that site, because it's a satelite of Gamespy, which is pretty mainstream and legal, and certainly wouldn't risk pissing off a game company. On the other hand, the site contains emulations, music ripped straight from CDs, etc. Of course, apparently the Konami (makers of Castlevania) contacted them and told them not to post an emulation of a particular game, but didn't complain about the rest. Very odd.

maybe its some huge corporate conspiracy, where companies wont attack other companies, but focus on the individual perpetrators. Like suing a guy who downloaded lots of kazaa instead of the guys who owned the main kazaa server.

Sorry to re-animate a dead post, but that song was kinda fun. It sounded almost like Carlos Santana, but good.

hey... santana is good! (actually I would have to say a little better than the castlevania piece, though the castlevania piece is still pretty good).
