heres some more
>> Techno
Daft Punk - Face to Face -Doesn't sound like typical techno, but not a lot of Daft Punk does, decent song to start listening to Daft Punk with, but there are a few better ones out there
Daft Punk - CrescenDolls -Upbeat song, more than a little bizarre, i didn't like it at first but it grew on me
>>Alternative Rock
The Bravery - Honest Mistake -A lot like The Killers, who, as i mentioned in the first post, they had a bitch fest with
Rise Against - Give It All -Somewhat punk-ish i guess, not a good choice if you're feeling tired (unless you want to wake up a little), but good if you have energy to get rid of
System of A Down - BYOB (Bring Your Own Bombs?) -Great song, goes quite fast, then slows down, then gets fast again after a bit, you get the idea, worth listening to
>> Others
Raffi - Banana Phone -Just so that people know who made the song, i listened to this guy when i was like. . . 1-7 or so, good stuff
The Streets - Dry Your Eyes Mate -Slow semi-depressing British song, worth listening to at least once
The Streets - Fit But You Know It -Funny song, tells a story more than sings a song in my opinion, but it could go either way
O-Zone - Dragostea Din Tei -REMEMBER THE EFFING NAME, its not numa, decent song that is amusing if you don't have a fat kid lip synching it
Morrisey - Irish Blood, English Heart -Nice little song that is making a point, if you can't figure out what its about, then i'm very very sorry for you, try going to that place called outside every once in a while, or better yet read the newspaper, not that any newspaper around here would have much about it
Nights Into Dreams - Dreams Dreams -A surprisingly popular song from a very very old game, most guys won't enjoy it very much, but girls might
Siouxsie and the Banshees - Peek-a-Boo -VERY bizarre song, from the 80s i think, i'd have to ask terrance about that one, regardless, worth listening to once or twice, i played Resident Evil 4 with this on in the background, probably had the same effect as mushrooms do

>> Techno
Daft Punk - Robot Rock -Techno meets rock sort of, very nice song off of Human After All
Prodigy - Mindfields (might be minefields, not sure) -Nice piece from The Matrix (first one), i guess its trance but i'm not sure about definitions (my understanding is that trance = techno with lyrics)
Rod D - Clubbed to Death (Kuraymino mix) -Other one off of The Matrix soundtrack, has awesome violin in it, piano as well
Propellerheads - Spybreak! -Last one off The Matrix soundtrack, this is the infamous music from the lobby scene if you're into that
>> Alternative Rock
Bright Eyes - Take it Easy (Love Nothing) -Interesting song, might be worth sitting down with the lyrics to try and see what the message is, British
Modest Mouse - Float On -Great song, crazy video, check it out if you can, otherwise, just grab the song, good times
Audioslave - Be Yourself -Nice song with a message that is somewhat boring to me, little too mellow for my tastes, only a few bands have pulled that off as far as i'm concerned, one of you may like it though
>> Other
Apocalyptica featuring Ville Valo and Lauri (the Rasmus) - Bittersweet -Good sad song, very well done, i'd reccomend this if you aren't nick
none more come to mind at the moment, more later

Definitely. I don't like the music video, though -- it has nothing to do with the actual song!

I know that many people may not agree with me, but I really love a lot of DDR music. In fact, I am performing to one on Tuesday for my senior project.
I also like hispanic music, Chinese/Japanese music, and Celtic music...
I pretty much like anything that is not too loud.

<<quote function being annoying.....>> marla said:
Chinese/Japanese music, and Celtic music...
oooh ooh!! Utada Hikaru, her japanese albums(Deep River, First Love etc) are exquisite, her one english album Exodus is more a dance mix in my opinion, much more American in style and content that her other ablums Gackt is kinda weird, I rather think he's an acquired taste I think you might like Sowelu or Do As Infinity.... but they are kinda hard to find here... even illegally (I haven't tried.... of course not, I don't know what you're talking about...... >>;;;; )
and my roommate got me even more into the Celtic Rock scene, and so I recommend Tempest, Great big Sea, Seven Nations and Gaelic Storm Tempest I only know a little about, but I've heard a smattering and it's really good Great Big Sea has a more traditional sound, but is still fun Seven Nations is more rock than celtic most of the time, but I <3 them.... Gaelic Storm is really a mix, they do traditional songs traditionally, traditional songs not so traditionally, instruments, Patrick writes some of the music they play... that and Gaelic Storm is the band that was playing below deck at the party in the movie Titanic (which I have not seen as of yet)
and thus ends my music recommendation list

Alt Rock >>>
Every Move a Picture - Signs of Life -Sounds similar to something i've heard before but i can't put my finger on exactly what it was. worth listening to
The Love Makers - Prepare for the Fight -Decent song, everything but the vocals reminds me of the killers for some reason
Sleater Kinney - Entertain -For some reason this reminds me of the B52s. . . .probably the vocals mainly. good song, worth checking out once or twice

Ill put my 2 cents of asian music in as well. KOREAN MUSIC:DBSK-Rising Sun Really good song and REALLLY good dancing! www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMalqMD286I(and they are all 19, except Max who's 18) Rain (비) -With U R&B music. BoA-MOTO She's like the only female artist I will listen to. JAPANESE MUSIC:Asian Kung-Fu Generation-Kona Yuki Hey its AKFG who doesn't like them! haha! L'Arc~en~Ciel-As One More hard rock kind of music. An Cafe (アンティック-珈琲店-) -#*-@☆ピポピポテレパシー☆@-*# yes thats the name of the song...no idea what it means but who cares..as long as the music is good! BoA does both japanese and korean music. Her japanese music is more slow paced while her korean are more upbeat.

Her japanese music is more slow paced while her korean are more upbeat. DBSK is fantastic. Have you heard the TRAX? They have Japanese and Korean versions of a number of songs (my favorite being Scorpio). Typhoon and X-mas make my little stone heart go pitter patter. Oh, and the song Triangle has BoA, DBSK AND the TRAX and it gives me a happy every time. Even I have the PV, so I'm sure it's on youTube. You might like Se7en, if you haven't already heard him. A little too American rap for my taste, but at least the language is much more attractive, and I don't think he's swearing every other word. Mostly I get into artists because they play opening/ending songs in anime (like AKFG). I <3 L'arc for Lost Heaven (FMA movie) and 4th Avenue Cafe. If you want dance type japanese music I totally recommend m.o.v.e., I believe 'eurobeat' is the listed style. If you watch Initial D they're the artists for quite a few opening/ending songs. I think Marla is the only one who would appreciate Tomoko Kawase (aka Tommy February6, aka Tommy Heavenly6, ie the vocalist for the brilliant green). Her music videos are so shoujo it's almost not funny. She can't act and sing, but she only needs to sing, so I'm okay with her inability to move like a real person when she does her PVs. Do As Inifinity also gives me joy. Though I can only get my hands on CDs at cons mostly. I think most of the japanese music on my computer is a little girly for the tastes of anyone alive on the forum(Sowelu, KOTOKO, dream, Ayumi Hamasaki) so I'm going to stop gushing... [totally didn't realize I was using LJ html tags there]

Because I don't think anyone here would ever watch NANA. rose- Anna Tsuchiya kuroi namida- Anna TsuchiyaThe MVs aren't great, but I like the music. I actually think she really should stop, or get a change in handler, because she really doesn't suit the image she tries to project through those. And I thought I'd throw in the PV for Tri*Angle while I was here, because it is joygasmic. tri-angle- DBSK feat. the TRAX and BoAAlex, do you buy CDs, or do you just abuse internet radios?
