Everybody must go to www.last.fm/ !
Last.FM is a new type of internet radio. By using your AudioScrobbler* data, it approximates your musical tastes and broadcasts to you the music that you either already have ("Personal Radio") or might enjoy ("Profile Radio"). You can also choose to listen to other people's Radios, thus limiting your choices only by the time you spend exploring. Although you can't choose what songs play, there is a "skip" button in case you don't like the current selection. It's a great way to find new music, and it's all for free!
To use Last.FM, create an AudioScrobbler account, install the plugin, and login to Last.FM using this account. I then recommend listening to music normally for a couple of weeks to build up your profile (be sure to use the player with the plugin!), but feel free to browse around and listen to what other people are listening to. After you have around 200 play-throughs (which are counted when you listen either to half or ~200 seconds of a song), your profile will be accurate enough to warrant good "Profile Radio" matches.
Last.FM and AudioScrobbler are very "indie" services, so you don't have to worry about spyware and other such hassles. Be sure to read their FAQs before doing anything because they certainly explain many things better than I do. Enjoy!
*AudioScrobbler is a free service that logs the music you listen to and creates a "musical profile" for you. You have to install a plugin into your player for it to work, but the procedure is harmless.
