I think I'll keep my vast library of knowledge on the subject until after someone's said something really interesting.
btw, i have a funny joke for you all.
What's the difference between finding ten dead babies in my garage?

What's the difference between finding ten dead babies in my garage? Are you missing a piece of that? like the lexus? Because I know the answer to that one. And how stoned must one be to be properly stoned?

As for the joke/riddle, I can give you no hint.
As for how stoned, I think that is up to you.
I will say that you aren't properly stoned until you feel severely fuzzy all over, everything is good and calm, and you ARE the guitar (supposing that you are listening to guitar music). Also there is a tendency to enter meditative states or uncontrollable fits of laughter. There is also, I find, a distinct membrane that is crossed in the mind as one passes from not stoned to stoned.
Below this threshold is what many would call "buzzed," exhibiting some effects in reduced capacity but not beyond the membrane.
Of course I have failed to describe this properly, as it is impossible to do so. The truth that may be spoken is not the abiding truth.

I believe he's referring to this: No, that's just not true. I'm a huge fan of radiohead, but I do not smoke weed. Although I'm sure radiohead is great while smoking, that is not a requirement for enjoying their music. Anyways, just clearing that up. He must have misunderstood you.

By the way, the stoned state of mind is an excellent state for the appreciation of Radiohead.
I am the guitars and the guitars are the synthesizers.

On a more serious note -- no, and I never intend to be.
I believe that the human mind has the capacity to reach "highness" without any dependency on external chemicals, and I believe that reaching this state autonomously would be far more fulfilling than using drugs to get there.

I could write many pages on this. I've found that with some aspects of marijuana intoxication, one can learn to recreate them at will. With others, it is impossible/too difficult for me at this time. The state found in meditation or a serious practice of mindfulness can be just as spiritually fulfilling in my experience.

Ah, well I don't smoke but I have a couple of times in the past. I've been there, but I can't really remember the experience because it's been about a year and a half since.

No offense to anyone, but I've never seen the point in the argument "I don't need drugs to reach nirvana".
To me, it's like saying I don't need a car to get to North Connecticut. Sure, you can walk there, so could I, but you won't and it's not worth the time/trouble, and you'll probably get lost along the way.
And even then, most of the people that say it are just trying to sound high-minded or self-righteous, when really they're just too afraid to break social and cultural boundaries to do something illegal or intoxicating.
