Anybody here a fan of metal, if so what bands do you like?
Hmm, this is the first thread that I have started for no reason since I don't even remember when.

Metal's okay. Rammstein, Rob Zombie -> heavy, then there's soft metal like Metallica and stuff.

power metal is fun to listen to, I don't know any band names sadly, but I do know of Six Feet Under which I'm pretty sure is a deathmetal band, good stuff, if you like heavey stuff with alot of screaming

It's only good if it's 'controlled' screaming. My sister listens to this really bad punk metal stuff sometimes where the singer sounds like somebody's ripping his guts out while he's singing. If you get a good band, like the ones Archagon mentioned, then it's good.

Power metal is pretty cool. Did you ever listen to Nightwish? They're pretty good and I think would fall under power metal.
Nick, what is this band that your sister listens to? I listen to some stuff that could be described like what you said.

I have no idea of names of powermetal bands, I just found a radio station that plays metal most of the time, and I can't really remember the names of the bands they mention, usually either too into the music, or drawing something that the music is inspiring

It's supposed to, hence 'heavy death metal.' Try listening to Rob Zombie...

Not all metal is so heavy and scary. Power metal is quite the opposite. If you want metal that isn't freaky try listening to Nightwish. The singer actually sings rather than screaming, and has a nice voice.

I'm into hardkore death metal, artists like the Goo Goo Dolls and Sting, or for something really heavy, The Police.
Oh baby.

Police isn't heavy! Well, at least not to me...
Their songs are messed up.

Although metal fans are significantly more durable than those of plastic, plastic fans can be manufactured with far greater efficiency for increased profits.
