Um Ali, Snake is more dramatic. In the new MGS trailer he's seen putting a gun in his mouth.

i agree with nick but MGS still has those bizarre moments like the bit with putting the controller in a different slot

MGS may be a dramatic game, but Solid Snake doesnt seem so moody as Cloud does. Clouds personality seems to me to be really depressive. Snake is dramatic but in a way that lets me laugh at him.

Cloud moody? I suppose you could call him depressed or something, but that's because he, supposedly a seasoned soldier created with combat in mind, can't get over the death of his almost girlfriend. Sure he's a bit moody, but he's almost too simple and thus I find it a little silly when people pass the movie or the game off as deep. As for Snake, watch the new MGS trailer, he's far more complex and somber in that than he is in past games, and he outranks Cloud pretty easily.

Maybe thats what Ive been trying to get at. Snake has drama and is somber, but because he has a complex character he seems more real and personable. Cloud is more flat with really only one mood, ie: depressed. I dont know, I just feel that snake has personality thats all.

I feel like a fighting game should be made with every character in existance. It would need a godlike mechanics system to accurately mix completely random fighters so Gandalf who uses magic, staves, and swords could fight characters who use firearms (like Dante, Megaman, Samus)
The arenas would be varied, some like Soul Calibur gladiator-style platforms, others like whole mazes so fighters like Alien could use their powers to their full potential.
There would also be numerous terrain features (water, snow, trees, tall grass, traps, lava, ice, sand, the decks of salining ships) that would all have an effect on the battle.
And the game would have to be simple to play too.

It would be awesome, but impractical because of the cost of all the liscencing fees. It'd be the PS3 of all games.

Maybe by the time humans invent the technology to pull it off, we will have gotten rid of silly copyrights.
