This issue has been bothering me lately. Sex seems to be seen as a PASTIME by people nowadays. A HOBBY. With a bunch of different people, even ones that you don't know.
I consider sex something to be shared only with someone who you've learned to trust and love without having to resort to it. Also, many people might not know it, but religion puts sex before marriage as adultery.
Frankly, I'm scared by values of people today.
What do you guys think?

You are against sex before marriage, right? In that case, just out of interest, what are your thoughts on manual sex (also before marriage)?

Technically, that's still sex.
I mean, if people were more responsible and actually kept their gf/bf for the rest of their lives, it would be acceptable, I suppose.
But that often does not happen.
I want to know what other people think. I still haven't made up my mind on this whole issue. But I do lean towards the after.

You start an interesting topic, and a dangerous one.
You ask what others think, and I could sit here and bore you with my thoughts, but let's all keep in mind, no one needs to get pissed about someone posting what they think.
But first, why does this suddenly bother you? People have been doing it since the beginning of time, and from what you have already stated, your not a part of the mix of premarrage sex, so why bother with it?

Well I would pretty much agree with you, sex is something you should do with your one and only. But let's be flexible, if two people have a wedding date set, why delay?
Other than that, I really couldn't care if people wanna be with a different person everynight, that's there thing, and as long as they don't interfere with me, I wont interfere with them.

And here is another thing to think about, two people can be in love with each other, get married, have sex for the first time, and find out that one of them really really sucks at it... That can call for a quick divorce... So one might use the logic that if they do it pre marriage, they will have a better idea if the marriage will be successful or not

Bad sex is no reason to end a marriage! People marry because they love each other (or at least they should).

I quite agree. Marriage shouldn't be only about sex.
However, these days that is the vary psychology of things; young people want to have sex. If it becomes mandatory to marry before having sex, people will start marrying... to have sex. That will obviously cause a jump in the divorce rate as well - people will divorce when they get tired with their partner.
The problem is that marriage is not what it used to be anymore. These days people can live together, have sex, but not be married (and they want it that way, because it gives them a sort of freedom). Therefore, marriage is becoming obsolete.

Then let me rephrase my question. If a couple eventually intends to marry, should they have sex before their marriage plans?
And frankly, I really don't give a f!@# what others think. If they want to disrupt good values, that's their problem. I shall not be influenced by it. Besides, the question I'm asking isn't about the psychology of the new generation - it's about what you guys think is right and wrong. They can do whatever they want - what would you do?

A much better way of putting it Archagon.
I myself probably would have sex before any marriage plans, but only if I thought she was the one.
Those are my thoughts, and I hope none of you think lower of me for it.
